The Internet of Things will continue to gain momentum in 2015. However, the pace of innovation and customer adoption will likely vary between the consumer facing internet and the industrial facing internet. While there are many interesting applications of machine to machine communication and automation and systems that will enhance remote field services around the world, consumer facing innovation around things like mobile payment platforms and proximity marketing could roll out faster on a global basis next year for a variety of reasons.
