CGE Hosts Worldwide CEO Exchange

After conducting four regional CEO gatherings,  the CGE on December 9 and 10, 2015 hosted a Worldwide CEO Exchange in Sanya, China. Designed as an opportunity for CEO-to-CEO knowledge sharing, the Exchange brought together over 30 CEOs from across 10 countries at Sanya University. The program focused on three principal management topics that CEOs are dealing with as they lead their enterprises during a period of expanding global economic integration.

The program also allowed CGE researchers to present the results of its 2015 research agenda and to highlight its 2016 initiatives. Business models for speed and scale, the emerging platform economy, and models for utilizing global talent framed the day and a half long program. Also included were two CEO-student mentoring sessions where CEOs addressed over 800 students from various academic disciplines about their views on critical attributes for being a business leader. These mentoring sessions allowed students to ask questions of interest to them and for the CEOs to respond with real world experience and practical advice.

CEO Exchanges are one of the principal ways CGE seeks to expand applied business learning and capture content that can be used to help prepare the next generation of business leaders for the future. CGE’s Research program and Global Scholars program complement the CEO Exchanges and work to extend CGE’s commitment to global and free applied business learning.
