Karen Sippel is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Center for Global Enterprise, where she is responsible for cultivating financial support and key collaborators for the Center’s programs and research projects.
Prior to joining CGE, Ms. Sippel held senior positions in strategic communications and marketing at technology start-ups, global public affairs firms and non-profits, including Director of Integrated Communications and Marketing at Personal, Vice President of Public Affairs at Porter Novelli Public Services, and Director of Government IT at Merritt Group. The common thread throughout her work is her passion for telling an organization’s story through its brand and communications with customers and end users, financial supporters, and other key stakeholders.
Ms. Sippel has served as a communications consultant for a range of public and private sector clients, including the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Internal Revenue Service, IBM, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, L-3 Communications, Microsoft, and Booz Allen Hamilton, as well as numerous start-ups and nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Sippel graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She previously served as a Board Member of Brainfood, a youth development organization.
